week two random mash up

This is the hoar frost that coats everything. This happens when the white ice crystals, loosely deposited on the ground or exposed objects, that form on cold clear nights. This is when heat losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air. Sceince aside, even the walls sparkle. I like it.
Lights of a plane through a plexi glass window. Too chilly for me to be outside.. not to mention into the blowing snow!
This is where I spend a large chunk of time... and I mean large. 1am until 3pm today large.
Looks like we have another visitor!
This is what happens when you toss a glass of boiling water into the cool -38 degree air.
I'm still smiling.

  2. Hey Baby, Nice smile and glad to hear all is going well. Who would of guessed that you would be able to remember all those funny names to weather conditions. It's fun using science to create a show. Just like when Emily got the chance to play/experiment with dry ice. Would be interesting survey to carry out with the Alert residence's as to what type of cold experiments they know about. You might learn quite a few tricks. Is there any sound from the hot water into the air as it freezes? As for the Major stripes it's just a matter of time for someone like you. Keep the pictures and smiles coming. Love Dad

  3. Every one of us science nerds wants to do that boiling water experiment, very cool! The pic of your desk looks like a scene from every horror movie set in the North...just sayin'. I bet you carried your temporary rank with distinction and yes, keep the smiles coming. Love Chris. xo

  8. Hi there sweetheart,

Looks like a cool place to have short visit. Kind of like Africa. Too many things would make me nervous including the flight there. The ice crystals are beautiful and I new eventually you would come over to the other side for the sparkly stuff. Like mother like daughter. That is DAUGHTER if you know what I mean. Your desk looks cozy but the wolf outside looks scary. Keep those gorgeous smiles coming our way even if you have to force some of them out, especially at 1 AM. Love Mom xoxoxoxoxoxoxxo
